Properties
Copper-Beryllium CuBe 1.9 (often called UBE2 ) is the copper alloy with the highest mechanical properties ( its strength can reach 1500 Mpa after work hardening).
Its excellent mechanical properties are associated with a good electrical conductivity (approx. 25 % IACS) and thermal conductivity, its antimagnetic properties, good resistance to wear and most corrosive environments, as well as its good resistance to cryogenic temperatures, favours its use in most industrial sectors, especially :
  • Electro-mechanics
  • Connectors
  • Aeronautics
  • Mechanics
  • Injected plastic

Physical properties
Density : 8.25 g/cm³
Modulus of elasticity : 131 KN/mm²
Coefficient of thermal linear expansion from 20 to 200°C (mm/°C) : 17 x 10-6
Thermal conductivity : 105 W/M°C
Melting range : 870 - 980 °C
